Ryedale Voices

Ryedale Voices is a friendly mixed voice community choir which was formed in 2019 by Alison. The choir currently has 45 members and enjoys a varied repertoire including songs such as 'Mack the Knife,' 'Shenandoah,'  'City of Stars,'  'You've Got A Friend,' 'Blackbird,' and sea shanties.

There are no auditions and no prior experience is necessary. Rehearsals are light-hearted and the group is especially welcoming towards new members. Many of the choir don't read music, so rehearsal tracks are provided to help learn parts and words at home.

The choir has enjoyed successful performances for Sight Support Ryedale, Nunnington Hall, joint events with Easingwold Community Singers, Harmonia and The Ryelarks, and they recently performed a  joint concert with Swinton and District Excelsior Band. Forthcoming events include a joint concert with Bestwood Male Voice Choir from Nottingham and a fundraising event at Sledmere Church.

Ryedale Voices rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 - 9:00 at The Wesley Centre on Saville Street in Malton.
